Title Family Physician Contract Clinical Service Contract up to a 1.0 FTE – typically 1680 hours a year Location All Nations Healing House – Williams Lake, BC Compensation The salary range is per the 2024‑25 Physician Master Agreement plus a 12.32% annual Rural Retention Program premium and additional incentives as eligible. FNPCI Initiative The First Nations‑led Primary Care Initiative (FNPCI) aims to improve access to primary health‑care services for First Nations people across BC in a way that is culturally safe and closer to home. The FNPCI is part of the province’s primary care strategy, which is integrating team‑based care in communities throughout B.C. and changing the way primary care is delivered with the creation of primary care networks in partnership with the Regional Health Authorities. About The Centre The All Nations Healing House provides culturally safe and trauma‑informed primary health care for unattached First Nations and Indigenous people and their families. The Centre serves the needs of the First Nation and Indigenous communities in the Williams Lake area and the 15 communities of the Secwépemc, Tsilhqot’in, and Dakelh Dené Nations. The Centre operates Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays) during regular business hours. Indigenous ways of knowing and being are the foundation of the All Nations Healing House. Elders, traditional healers and other Indigenous care providers are core members of the health‑care team who work in close collaboration with family doctors, nurse practitioners and other providers to provide holistic health and wellness services. Services offered include full‑scope primary care provisions by family physicians, nurse practitioners and nurses as well as traditional wellness, mental health, wellness navigation. In coming years, we also intend to expand services with guidance from the Nations we serve. About The Role The Family Physician will be the most responsible provider for a client panel, and is expected to collaborate within a team‑based environment that supports the practice of Western and Traditional Wellness approaches to client health and wellness. A minimum panel size of 650 per 1.0 FTE by year 3 is typically expected and will be confirmed in the clinical service contract. Responsibilities The Family Physician (FP) will practice with cultural humility, providing primary care in a culturally safe, team‑based environment that recognizes the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of the client (and family) to provide whole‑person care, in compliance with policies and procedures of acceptable BC health and wellness regulations and standards. About You You are passionate about supporting First Nations individuals and families on their health and wellness journeys. You have an active practicing license in good standing with the College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC). You have training in Cultural Safety & Humility or are willing to take this training. Ideally you have experience working with First Nations people and communities and providing culturally safe care. Current valid driving licence.
