Our client has engaged ROSS ( www.getROSS.com ) to help them recruit a Tester. ROSS is a team of People Specialists helping companies align their People Strategy with their business growth. We provide remote or onsite HR and Recruitment solutions such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Recruitment Augmentation complimented by leading edge open-source HRIS software. The Tester is responsible for System and Regression testing activities for large and complex software applications. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical and communication skills. Strong knowledge of procedures and methodologies in the areas of Quality Assurance would be an asset. Key Job Responsibilities Document system and regression test cases based on detail requirements documentation Conduct system and regression testing using both manual and automated testing tools Create and maintain test scripts for data setup and manipulation Document defects related to system and regression testing Participate in root cause defect analysis Provide suggestions for improvements to related systems Ensure established testing processes are followed Ensure completion and accuracy of testing documentationProvide time estimates for testing assignments Track and report on testing process metrics Qualifications Community College Information Technology Certificate, or equivalent At least 1 year of extensive experience working with various computer software applications Requires good or excellent problem solving/investigational skills Requires organization and time management skills> Requires excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrated analytical skills and emphasis on accuracy Has interpersonal skills to deal effectively with others in team situations Must be able to work under pressure to meet project deadlines, without compromising quality.
