Sr. Consultant, Global Infrastructure Advisory - Infrastructure Strategy & Government Operations At KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause: turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world. Overview KPMG’s Infrastructure Advisory practice is widely recognized as a leading global advisory practice for the broader infrastructure and real assets space. The team works with government executives responsible for delivery and operations of major infrastructure portfolios on long-term strategy and optimization opportunities, including early concept development, investment rationalization, innovative partnership approaches, service design and costing, and portfolio value optimization. What You Will Do Work with a senior team advising government executives on innovative approaches to delivering infrastructure-enabled services Contribute to a range of materials—from briefing memorandums to comprehensive reports outlining method of work, results, assumptions, and next steps Prepare workshop and presentation materials on findings from research, interviews, and subject matter insights in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand format Develop a range of discrete options for clients to consider, and support their decision making by articulating trade-offs and opportunities among options defined Develop and help clients articulate desired end states and markers of success Analyze and benchmark operating and governance models for organizations, drawing key insights to advise on a bespoke and tailored approach Assist in marketing and business development including proposal preparation and development of client relationships Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and liaise with other business units of KPMG Support engagement management and client communication Stay up to date with recent market developments and contribute to idea generation Synthesize analyses and key findings into eloquent presentations and reports in Word and PowerPoint What You Bring To The Role Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in business management, engineering or science 2-6 years’ experience working with government organizations; understanding of government financial management and processes is a plus Experience in designing operating models; applications in asset-intensive organizations or services with infrastructure portfolios is a plus Exposure to process mapping, process definition and performance measurement Understanding of governance models used by organizations delivering public and commercial services Ability to aggregate complex messages into succinct briefing materials for senior government executives and elected officials Ability to synthesize inputs from diverse parties and identify blind spots, common ground, and pathways forward Demonstrated interest in real assets sectors including infrastructure, energy, renewables, real estate, and mining Proactive communication and teamwork, with the ability to work independently Client-oriented approach and willingness to learn and succeed Critical thinking and ability to manage ambiguity Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines Ability to travel within Canada and abroad as necessary Pay Range (KPMG BC Region) The expected base salary range for this position is $63,500 to $99,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. Base salary is determined by location, skills and competencies, and unique qualifications. Total Rewards program is offered.
