To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.otterco-op.crs.What you’ll do:Assist with the preparation of a wide variety of products for the Gas Bar Food Program, including but not limited to sandwiches, baked goods, popcorn, confectionary, flavored peanuts etc.Delivery of products to our Gar Bars and Pubs throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser ValleyProviding responsive, exceptional service to Guests at the Deli and treat counters by answering questions, making recommendations, providing samples, and responding to requestsRecommending, slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing meats and cheesesPreparing special orders and party traysUpdating displays, cases, and other customer-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcasedEnsuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing trash, and confirming that tools are in working orderFollowing all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agenciesCooperating with others to ensure Guest satisfactionPerform opening and closing proceduresContribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and ExcellenceWhy it matters:Our team provides a range of products and services to support our member-owners. Through the work that we do, we help to build, fuel, feed and grow Western Canadian communities together.Who you are:You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:Must have Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record1-2 years of Deli, Kitchen and/or Food Prep experience an assetMust be comfortable with driving a delivery van throughout the Lower Mainland/Fraser ValleyAbility to lift heavy items, ranging from 25 to 50 lbs., and operate equipment, such as meat and cheese slicers, scales, cash registers, etc.Excellent guest service, communication, and math skillsAbility to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitationA courteous and efficient approach to handling Guest requests, questions, and complaintsMust be committed to a SAFE working environmentThe ideal candidate will have open availability to work a variety of shifts, 7 days a week from 4:00am-9:00pm.
