OverviewJA British Columbia (JABC) is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Director, Corporate Partnerships, in the Lower Mainland area, to grow and strengthen corporate collaborations that fuel our work. As part of our Resource Development team, you will lead corporate engagement efforts, secure sponsorships, and oversee key fundraising and stewardship events—including JABC's flagship Business Laureates of BC Hall of Fame Program. Your work will ensure sustainable growth and expand JABC's impact, helping more young people gain the knowledge and confidence to thrive.
We acknowledge that our work spans many territories and that our head office resides on the traditional and ancestral unceded shared territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations peoples.
ResponsibilitiesYou will report to the VP, Development and your key duties will include:
Strategic Partnership Development- Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy aligned with JABC's mission and goals.
- Identify and cultivate new corporate partnership opportunities across various industries.
- Lead the creation of tailored sponsorship packages and partnership proposals to attract and retain corporate partners and donors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate partners, ensuring exceptional relationship management and communication.
- Foster and nurture long-term relationships with existing corporate partners, sponsors, and stakeholders ensuring they continue to support JABC.
- Organize and participate in partner engagement activities, including events, and program collaborations.
- Drive revenue growth by securing corporate support with sponsorships, grants, financial and in-kind donations.
- Collaborate with the marketing and program teams to develop compelling proposals and presentations that highlight JABC's impact and value proposition.
- Track and report on partnership performance, ensuring accountability and alignment with revenue targets.
- Work closely with the VP, Development and other senior members of the Development team to align corporate partnership initiatives with organizational goals.
- Mentor and manage one or more team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Represent JABC at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to elevate the organization's profile.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of corporate partnerships, providing regular updates to stakeholders and partners.
- Ensure that corporate partners are recognized appropriately for their contributions, enhancing partner satisfaction and loyalty.
- Track and report on sponsorship and funding progress, ensuring accountability and alignment with revenue targets.
- Provide regular updates to the VP, Development on partnership activities, event sponsorships, and overall revenue generation efforts.
- Utilize CRM systems to manage corporate relationships, entering all meaningful interactions and activity, donor information and to pull reports to support fundraising strategy and tracking.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in major gift fundraising, corporate partnerships, sponsorship sales, or a related field.
- Proven track record in securing and managing high-value corporate sponsorships and partnerships.
- Strong relationship-building and account management skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior-level stakeholders.
- Expertise in developing and executing successful sponsorship strategies for large-scale events and programs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and fundraising software.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The salary range of this position is $85,000 to $105,000 per annum. Employment offers are determined by knowledge, experience, and internal equity.
The successful candidate must be based in the Lower Mainland and be able to attend regular meetings in the downtown office and external meetings as required.
An offer of employment with JABC is conditional upon the successful completion of reference checks along with a successful criminal record and vulnerable sector check, as required by applicable laws and regulations.
