The AMS runs nine food and beverage outlets, a catering and conference operation, and the AMS Student Nest, providing on-campus employment opportunities and generating revenue that supports UBC students. Interim Vice President, Finance

Reports to: AMS Council

Employee status: Temporary, Full-time, Salaried

Length of term: November 2024 – April 30, 2025

Salary: $44,547.60 per annum (prorated)

Position Purpose:
The Interim Vice President, Finance is responsible for leading the Finance portfolio and representing the student body. This position will be managed by the AMS President, who oversees the day-to-day activities of the Executive to ensure the fulfillment of their duties and responsibilities.

Approve function control reports submitted by any subsidiary organization of the Society requiring funds.Manage the VP Finance staff.Other duties as outlined in AMS Code and Bylaws, and as assigned by Council or the Executive Committee.Comfort in working in a technical environment.Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Dynamics GP, IIS.Knowledge of AMS fiscal procedures and policies is an asset.Advanced knowledge of computer and technological skills.
