We are looking for a Temporary Truck Driver at our Walker Brothers Quarry locations.

Truck Driver (Temporary)

Today we have opportunities for you to join us as a Truck Driver at our our Walker Brothers Quarry location. 

Duties of the job:

  • Perform pre-trip inspections.
  • Be willing to take both direction and initiative on the job.
  • Operate a truck safely and efficiently.
  • Assist Maintenance, Plant Operator, Labourer when Crushing Plant is down.
  • Be willing to work in extreme and unpleasant weather conditions. 
  • Be accountable for all fluid levels and cleanliness of operating cab.
  • Be aware of all conditions while operating and adjust accordingly. 
  • Achieve all requirements of Common core training.
  • Other duties as assigned by Superintendent or Production Supervisor

Ideally, you’ll have these qualifications:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent by experience;
  • Experience in a related aggregate/construction industry;
  • Experience operating a skid steer/man lift equipment;
  • Able to operate heavy equipment and/or construction equipment;
  • Previous Asphalt Plant or Quarry Experience is an asset;
  • Common Core Certification is an asset;
  • DZ Class Driver’s License is an asset.
