Primary Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of application support staff—including clinical informatics specialists, technical specialists, applications specialists, business systems analysts, project managers, and trainers—while prioritizing workloads and improving team performance. Conduct regular staff performance assessments, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture to deliver excellent health‑IT service and drive continuous improvement across processes, technology, and team practices. Develop and execute system and upgrade rollout strategies, manage organizational change, and ensure comprehensive training and support for staff during project implementation. Assess and optimize system performance, user workflows, and user experience in partnership with clinical professionals. Coordinate the execution of data, functional, and technical decisions related to clinical system applications and databases. Create policies, informatics standards, and change‑management strategies in alignment with the Information Management & Technology (IMT) Strategic Plan. Build and maintain relationships with internal clinical/operations stakeholders and external partners—including Ontario Health, other Oracle Health Cerner hospital teams, and vendors—to represent MGH priorities and influence product roadmap developments. Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations with Oracle Health Cerner, ensuring alignment with hospital needs and timely issue resolution. Assist in the development and execution of the IMT Strategic Plan in collaboration with senior leadership, including the Director of Enterprise Data and Clinical Information Management and the Chief Information Officer. Education Baccalaureate degree in Clinical, Business, Health Informatics, Health Administration, or an equivalent program. Clinical background and/or experience in the health‑care field is an asset. Experience 8+ years of related experience, including operational management of clinical information systems, IT project management, and leading teams within health‑care or similarly complex environments. Experience with Cerner Millennium is an asset. Proven track record in people management with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Demonstrated ability in both project management and technology management, focusing on technical solution development and deployment in multi‑stakeholder settings, and capable of setting objectives, managing expectations, tracking, budgeting, and resource allocation independently. Well‑developed interpersonal and client‑relationship skills. Flexibility to work additional hours, including after‑hours and weekends, as needed.
