Radiological Technologist - General Imaging (Signing Bonus Available)Nova Scotia Health Authority is hiring a Radiological Technologist - General Imaging (Signing Bonus Available).OverviewLocation: Valley Regional Hospital, with potential scheduling at the Eastern Kings Memorial Community Health Centre and the Western Kings Memorial Health Centre. Type: Permanent, full-time (75 hours biweekly), evenings, nights, and weekends. Status: CUPE Healthcare Position. Posting Closing Date: Open Until Filled.ResponsibilitiesDeliver patient-centered care while operating radiological and accessory equipment with minimal supervision.Apply the ALARA principle during diagnostic or therapeutic procedures involving ionizing radiation.Communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment and contribute to a culture of safety.Exercise independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in clinical settings.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology.Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification.Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure.Previous experience is an asset; ability to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset.Basic Life Support Certification.Ability to organize and prioritize duties, work independently, and manage time effectively.Physical capability to perform the duties of the position.Demonstrates initiative, organizational and collaborative skills within inter-professional teams.Proficiency with medical technical language; ability to review manuals and participate in discussions.Competencies in other languages are an asset; French preferred.HoursPermanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly.Shift work required: evenings, nights, and weekends.Standby coverage may be required.Compensation and Benefits$34.77 - $44.91 hourly.
