To know more please visit: http://www.everestdx.com About the Role Highly experienced Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python and REST APIs, particularly for Generative AI (GenAI) projects within Azure (preferred) or AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of backend architecture, conversational AI, and hands‑on experience with large language models (LLMs). This is a remote position open to candidates located in the Canada. Required Qualifications Minimum 6 years of hands‑on Python development. Proficiency in FAST API. Proven expertise in building and managing REST APIs. Solid background in DevOps, including CI/CD, and infrastructure deployment. Experience with Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. Experience working on GenAI and LLM-based solutions is highly desirable. Proven track record of stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional collaboration. The candidate to have experience in building KPI and metrics dashboards using both native tools and platforms like Elastic. Additional Skill Expectations Native tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, or internal BI tools) External tools (e.g., Elastic Stack – Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, or Power BI) Strong understanding of data modeling, KPI formulation, and time‑series metrics Experience with data pipelines and query languages (e.g., KQL, SQL, or PromQL) Familiarity with APM tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic) is an added advantage Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance REST APIs. Build backend services for GenAI solutions, leveraging Azure or AWS. Work with frameworks such as FAST API (preferred), Flask or Django. Integrate LLM models and conversational AI solutions into backend systems. Manage deployments in DevOps environments using tools like GitHub, CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with business units and vendors to align technical solutions with business goals. Perform system testing, optimization, and scalability improvements. Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in place of formal education.
