Job Posting: Associate Pastor Position: Associate Pastor – Youth and Family Humboldt Bible Church – Humboldt, Sask. We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and spiritually grounded individual to join our pastoral team as an Associate Pastor. Position Overview The Associate Pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor to lead, shepherd, oversee and support the ministry of the church. This individual will primarily focus on family ministries; ministries which engage the children, youth and parents in our church and community. The role will involve leadership in existing ministry areas, equipping and encouraging lay leaders, fostering relationships with families and pursuing new opportunities that can minister to the church and engage the community. Key Responsibilities Preaching & Teaching: Periodically assist in the preparation and delivery of sermons, Bible studies, and other teaching opportunities for the congregation. Pastoral Care: Provide spiritual care, counseling, and visitation to church members, including hospitals, homes, and other outreach opportunities. Ministry Leadership: Oversee and support specific ministry areas/leaders such as youth, small groups, outreach or family ministry, depending on skills and church needs. Discipleship & Mentoring: Help to nurture spiritual growth through intentional relationships within the congregation. Help equip, encourage and mobilize leaders for various ministries within the church. Community Engagement: Be present and involved in the local community through planned outreach and involvement in community life such as sports/coaching, community groups. Collaboration: Work in partnership with the Senior Pastor, other ministry staff, and church leadership to foster a unified vision for ministry and church life. Administration: Participate in meetings, church planning, and administrative duties related to ministry programming and pastoral responsibilities. Qualifications Education: A Bachelors of Theology/Biblical Studies or similar formal Bibli9cal training is preferred. Experience: Previous ministry experience as a full-time or part-time is valuable and preferred. Experience should have revealed in the applicant a burden to pursue pastoral ministry. We are willing to work with you and provide a mentoring environment. Spiritual Maturity: Strong and contagious Christian faith and committed to the mission of the church. Skills & Abilities Strong communicator. A compassionate heart for people and a passion for pastoral care (Shepherding). Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment. Organizational and administrative skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities. Flexibility and adaptability to support various ministry initiatives. Personal Attributes Strong moral character, integrity, and a servant-leader mindset. A passion for discipleship and helping people grow in their faith. Emotional maturity and relational skills for connecting with individuals and families. Preferred Qualifications Experience in leading or coordinating teams. Ability to contribute creatively to planning and visioning. Self-motivated: able to envision, plan and execute new initiatives.
