This position requires a professional approach, customer service focus, and the ability to work both day and overnight shifts, including long periods of sitting. Candidates must have open availability, willingness to work weekends and overnight shifts, and a valid Class 5 driver’s license with mileage reimbursement. A Clean Criminal Record and legal work status in Canada are required.Essential Job FunctionsMonitor patient safety and report changes to security and hospital staff.Ensure safety of all stakeholders using de‑escalation techniques.Log and report all incidents and maintain detailed logs of patient interactions.Utilize two‑way radio and computer applications for communication.Communicate truthfully and receptively under all circumstances.Stay alert at all times and make immediate decisions with composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision.Develop thorough site knowledge and maintain professional relationships with hospital staff.Handle private and confidential information with discretion.Monitor and screen visitors and clients professionally.Education And ExperienceClean Criminal Record.18 years old and meet all provincial security license minimum requirements.Basic Security Training, First Aid, and CPI training are assets. A security license is not required.Authorized to legally work in Canada.SkillsSuperior customer service skills and confident public interaction.Conduct security patrols up to 20 km without direct supervision.Remain calm and effectively perform in emergency situations.Write comprehensive reports and maintain proper records with effective communication skills.Detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.Basic knowledge of security procedures and non‑defensive communication.Follow and enforce safety codes, regulations, and procedures.Handle private and confidential information with high discretion.Adhere to code of ethics in performing job requirements.Understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.Certification Requirements (All)First Aid, CPR Level C.Additional Information / BenefitsPaladin Security has a diverse workforce.
