Your Opportunity

Integrated Design is looking for a talented and passionate Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a strong interdisciplinary team that works on a variety of unique and exciting Energy & Resources projects across North America and Internationally.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical design and engineering portions of all phases of the projects from planning through post-construction.
  • Apply engineering knowledge and professional judgement to plan, size, evaluate, select, and specify electrical systems in accordance with relevant codes, standards and industry best practices.
  • Conduct field investigations, liaise with clients, carry out detailed planning studies, prepare design calculations, author technical reports, deliver presentations to stakeholders, and lead the development of construction packages.
  • Estimate construction costs, monitor and support construction, participate in commissioning, and contribute to business development activities.
  • Acts as Engineer-of-Record for projects and/or project components.
  • Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and external consultants, owners, contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors.
  • Participate in client project requirement meetings, value analysis, and basic cost estimating.
  • Develop and manage the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship for junior and intermediate engineers and designers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • A minimum of ten years of related work experience.
  • Advanced understanding of electrical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and applicable energy codes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD; experience with AGI 32, Visual Lighting Software, ETAP, SKM, Revit preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally when required.

Office Location and Schedule

  • Typical office environment with hybrid work model possible.
  • Location – Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatchewan, Winnipeg, Fredericton.

Salary Range(s):

  • Lower Mainland $107,600 - Lower Mainland $161,400 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC.
