Join Gartner as a Director Analyst, Cybersecurity, Engineering & AI (Remote Canada). This role involves creating and advising on research portfolios for CISOs and cybersecurity leaders, supporting sales, and driving actionable insights. What You Will Do Develop thought‑leadership insights and actionable approaches to accelerate client decision‑making. Lead client interactions—virtually or in person—to identify barriers, reframe thinking, and drive strategy forward. Provide independent research insights that may shape Gartner’s research agenda. Research, analyze, and predict market trends to deliver actionable insights to clients and vendors. Create high‑value presentation materials for Gartner events, conferences, and briefings. Support research and sales by serving as the voice of the market, helping to create content and engage clients. Peer review research content for quality and timeliness. Build credibility as an industry expert and represent Gartner research methodology. Participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions with peers. What You Will Need Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred. 10+ years of enterprise experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Software security / application security programs Product security engineering programs Enterprise software engineering or software architecture programs Experience with frameworks and standards such as NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, OWASP Top 10 for LLMs Experience or current interest in the following research areas: Applying cybersecurity controls to AI and generative AI Evaluating technology markets that support securing AI Evaluating frameworks and standards for securing AI Excellent writing ability—detailed but clear research reports Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions Superior analytical skills—apply conceptual models, recognize patterns, defend conclusions Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively Willingness to travel up to 25% (where applicable) Additional Information Seniority level: Not Applicable Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Information Technology Industries: IT Services and Consultancy, Information Services, Research Services Job Requisition ID: 104407 Gartner is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes applications from all individuals, including those with disabilities or veteran status.
