MSL Territory is Eastern Ontario JOB PURPOSE As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) you will be responsible for applying your non-promotional medical acumen to ensure the safe and effective use of GSK’s products across our Respiratory portfolio, through impactful scientific interactions and support of key external and internal stakeholders in alignment to the therapeutic area Medical Plan. As the MSL within the territory you will collaborate with field partners in a stakeholder-centric approach to provide credible scientific clinical information about our therapies to healthcare professionals, external experts, organizations and decision-makers in the specialty care setting, in a manner consistent with GSK’s principles for scientific engagement. This role is a therapeutically aligned, field-based position covering BC and AB Cities where frequent travel is required. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Identify, establish, and maintain scientific peer-to-peer relationships with key external experts by presenting balanced scientific data, supporting advanced medical educational opportunities, and providing scientific support with the highest of industry standards following GSK values, policies, standards, applicable laws, and regulations. Be recognized as the scientific field-based partner in the territory and maintain a deep understanding and knowledge of respiratory diseases, treatments, and the competitive landscape to ensure excellent scientific dialogue and clinical knowledge translation aligned to business strategy. Be agile and adaptable to engage and provide value across a continuum of both internal and external stakeholders (i.e. Respirologists, ENTs, Allergists, and community care experts along with other healthcare professionals, investigators, professional societies, organizations, advocacy groups, and decision-makers) in a non-promotional manner and be responsive to unsolicited inquiries. Be a proactive and solutions‑oriented partner as the primary interface between the healthcare community and the internal cross‑functional GSK teams to gather and share back insights that inform current and future business strategies. Represent GSK at scientific congresses by providing session/abstract coverage, booth staffing coverage, leading external expert engagement plans and contributing to scientific end of congress summaries/share‑backs as required. Provide scientific training for GSK sales representatives regarding GSK products and the conditions they treat utilizing approved sales training materials. Assist the medical, clinical and HEOR teams with Investigator Initiated Studies and real world evidence projects as needed, and support identification of potential clinical trial sites for clinical development activities in Canada as required. QUALIFICATIONS An advanced post‑graduate scientific degree (MD, Ph.D., PharmD) is an asset. Bilingualism in French and English scientific discussion (written and verbal) is an asset. Successful candidate must reside within Eastern Ontario. Exceptional aptitude to apply and leverage scientific and medical data with scientific credibility while enabling peer‑to‑peer discussion and debate is essential. Excellent public speaker, with outstanding scientific presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on cross‑functional teamwork and strategic execution of medical affairs plan in your territory. Knowledge of regulations governing medical information exchange with healthcare professionals within the Canadian pharmaceutical environment. Sound negotiation, leadership, and organization skills. Familiarity with reimbursement processes in Canada. A valid driver’s license is required for this field‑based position. Ability to work independently and ability to travel throughout the territory up to 70% with evenings and weekends involved. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in respiratory (+2 years) in a medical affairs position with established relationships/connections with associated healthcare professionals in the Respiratory space is strongly preferred.
