Job Description The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing tools and equipment used in nuclear field services work. Accountabilities Design tools for field services work: create conceptual designs using SolidWorks, prepare design plans, conduct design reviews, and obtain stakeholder input. Support tool testing and modifications required during execution. Create manufacturing drawings for tools and work with fabrication vendors. Provide oversight of tool use during field execution in a nuclear power plant, if necessary. Knowledge & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related discipline. 5+ years of experience, preferably in a high‐consequence industry such as nuclear services, oil & gas, mining, or aerospace. Hands‑on field service experience with hand tools. Comprehensive knowledge of SolidWorks (modeling, drawing creation, weldments, sheet metal, and simulation).
