LTO Secondary: 1.0 Intermediate Science and Special Education (Structured Learning Class) - Semester 1 Only The Durham District School Board acknowledges that many Indigenous Nations have longstanding relationships, both historic and modern, with the territories upon which our school board and schools are located. As a Long‑Term Occasional Teacher (LTO) for DDSB, you’ll create a vibrant and supportive learning environment where students thrive. You’ll bring your passion for teaching to the classroom, guiding students through their educational journey and fostering a love for learning. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and support student learning. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help students grow. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to enhance student learning. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students. Qualifications and Additional Information Required subject qualifications: Intermediate Science, Special Education Part 1. FTE: 1.0 (Semester 1 – full days). Grade(s)/assignment: Grade 10. Tentative course codes (if known): SNC2D1 (2), SLC. Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing. Additional Requirements Provide a current Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening upon hire.
