The model creates a culture that supports positive, bidirectional relationships between staff and residents, and staff and families. The successful candidate will act as the conductor bringing all elements of the model together to ensure the successful implementation of the culture change within the home and the organization.Qualifications and TraitsHigh levels of emotional intelligenceSuccessful completion of or enrollment in Long Term Care Senior Management or equivalentPassionate about dementia careCurrent with dementia best practice and evidenceVisionary and inspirationalDemonstrated political acumenEducation in an emotion-based model of care is an assetExperience in long-term care and/or dementia care5 years of experience in a formal leadership positionProject Management training and experience as a lead in a significant projectChange Management certification and experience in initiating a significant changePost-secondary education in research and numerologyFacilitator training and experience as a facilitator and educatorExcellent communication skills – both written and verbalPeople management including mentoring, coaching, performance management, hiring and terminationKnowledge and aptitude in Google SuiteDriver's license and access to a vehicleQualification and experience in formalized change managementDemonstrated knowledge and experience utilizing project management methodology2 years experience in Long Term Care (Gerontology) preferredActive interest in ongoing educationComputer literateEmployment RequirementsPlease note, all applicants must be located in Canada and legally entitled to work in Canada.
