Accessible Employer: YesOpen to International applicants with valid Canadian Work permits: YesIf you thrive in a fast-paced work environment, are a detail oriented problem solver, and consider yourself a mathematics wiz, and looking for an opportunity to learn and grow in the accounting field then this is the role for youJoin the Cypress Mountain Accounting Team as an Income Auditor and help with a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks including daily revenue recognition, accounts receivable/payable, maintaining financial records, data entry, consolidating and disseminating reports.Responsibilities & QualificationsCreate and process journal entries for daily sales recognition.Distribute and reconcile F&B Tips.Manage and reconcile accounting floats.Reconcile daily cash-outs including the troubleshooting of out of balance/cashier issues.Assist and support the Accounts Payable Clerk in their job duties.Accurately prepare and reconcile data as well as prepare reports with this data.Maintain and keep organized accounting documents and records.Reconcile credit card accounts in a timely manner.Assist with month end reconciliations.Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.Contribute to overall department goals by performing other related duties as assigned.Qualifications/CompetenciesExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.Accuracy and attention to detail.Aptitude for numbers.Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.Data entry and word processing skills.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Well organized, punctual, hardworking, self-motivated and outgoing.Ability to remain organized and courteous when under pressure.Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving and decision making skills.Adaptable to work effectively in a diverse and ever-changing working environment.Education & ExperienceMin 2+ years’ proven experience in an accounting field.Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.Experience in the ski resort, outdoor recreation, hospitality, or tourism industry (an asset).Prior Income Audit or Accounts Payable experience is an asset but not required.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust be able to legally work in Canada.22/hourOther Perks/BenefitsEnjoy UNLIMITED ALL MOUNTAIN ACCESS to skiing, snowboarding, cross-country, snowshoeing, and snow tubing.Sharpen your skills with FREE LESSONS.Save with exclusive TEAM MEMBER DISCOUNTS in Rentals, Retail, and in F&B outlets.Enjoy skiing/riding PERKS at sister resorts and other reciprocal mountains.Connect through FUN TEAM EVENTS and social activities all season long.GROW YOUR CAREER with hands-on learning opportunities.Work on the BIGGEST LOCAL MOUNTAIN.Ride the BEST SNOW & TERRAIN.Be part of a ONE-OF-A-KIND mountaintop workplace where you’ll create life-long memories. #J-18808-Ljbffr
