OverviewJOB DESCRIPTIONEcolab is currently seeking candidates for an Account Manager within our Nalco Water Downstream group. This is your opportunity to join a large growing company offering a competitive base salary, bonus structure and benefits. You will be primarily responsible for maintaining established accounts as well as identifying and developing new market opportunities within the strategic growth area. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn all facets of water process and fuel additive applications in chemical processing plants, refineries and upgraders, as well as the opportunity to enhance and display communication skills through every level of our key customer’s personnel. You will take a consultative sales approach with a primary emphasis on strong account leadership skills and retention of strategic accounts. Flexibility to be available to provide emergency customer support during off hours and weekends as needed.Occasional overnight travel for training / meetings will be required.Minimum QualificationsPost-Secondary Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma10 years technical sales or field sales support experience, or related industry experienceAbility to travel within the geographic territory up to 30%Ability to travel overnight for business as neededAble to travel to the US for training / meetingsMust have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle RecordHigh computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems)No immigration sponsorship offered for this rolePhysical DemandsMust have the ability to Lift / Push / Pull / Carry up to 55 pounds chest highPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial), or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry,Prior experience within Overhead Corrosion, Demulsification, Refinery process chemicals or Fuel additivesPrevious Refinery / Petrochemical experience preferredHistory of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivationPrior experience that required excellent communication and organization skillsAccount Management experience that includes calling on multilevel plant or facilities management to accomplish company goalsPrior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multitaskWater treatment experience is considered an assetOur Commitment to a Culture of Inclusion & BelongingEcolab is committed to fair and equal treatment of associates and applicants and furthering the principles of Equal Opportunity to Employment.
