Millard Health is at the forefront of innovation – health care is evolving, and we want to lead the way We are focused on ensuring human centered design concepts are at the core of our treatment experience.As part of an interdisciplinary team treating clients who experienced a traumatic or cumulative psychological injury or brain injury in the workplace, or who are dealing with persistent pain as a result of their workplace injury, this position is responsible for providing treatment recommendations, providing psychological work restrictions, identifying and addressing a client’s psychological barriers to return to work and/or providing psycho-education to clients to help assist with the return-to-work process. We are currently seeking individuals with a clinical, counselling or rehabilitation psychology background and experience with evidence-based treatment of trauma.Your responsibilities:Delivering psychological services as part of an interdisciplinary team primarily focused on injured workers suffering from traumatic and/or cumulative psychological injuries.Completing psychological screens and treatment to enhance our clients’ abilities to return to work.Facilitating psychology groups and conducting relaxation training classes to reduce the impact of disability related issues.Mentoring undergraduate psychology interns and supervising psychology residents.Assisting with program development as required.Collaborating with psychology peers to ensure best practice.Ability to work a 0.6 FPE during business hours.Your experience and skills:Completion of a Master’s Degree in Psychology.Active with the College of Alberta Psychologists.Completion of an internship from a Canadian Psychological Association accredited facility or equivalent.Experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting involving the assessment and treatment of a variety of disorders and experience providing psychological services and experience in the treatment of clients with trauma is required.Training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy is an asset.We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, flexible work schedules and hybrid work opportunities that foster a healthy work-life balance.
