If you want to work on the front lines of development, shaping the field as you go, keep reading to see what we have to offer Responsibilities Preventive and Predictive Maintenance of Automation equipment on hardware at customers' locations, particularly on DCS (Valmet DNA). Program, troubleshoot process sequences, review, and work on network components, install hardware and software at customer sites (in virtual and non‑virtual environment). Field commissioning on Automation equipment. Provide Service and Performance documentation for capital equipment, including new and add‑on system installations. Implement new and add‑on systems (hardware and software) when required. Assist customers in problem solving at their worksites and by phone or via remote access. Clearly understand the customers pulp and paper process and how the automation equipment interacts with the process. Provide sales support for service when needed. Actively sell & promote spare parts, upgrade of components at the customer’s worksite. Ensure that your service manager and product managers in North America are informed of problems with products. Within two weeks of each mill visit, prepare a written trip report, expense report, time sheet. Clearly document the value you have provided on the trip report. Routinely contact customers to schedule your visits to the customer worksite; determine status of installed equipment and take action to assist in the repair of any failed equipment in the field. Ensure that sales personnel and your Service Manager are aware of your schedule. Capable of providing after‑hours emergency service when needed. Requirements Preferred candidate will have an associate’s degree in a science discipline or a two‑year technical school degree. A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics is also a plus. Minimum of five years experience with DCS/networking environment. Experience in the pulp and paper industry is a plus. Travel 75% travel. Travel is typically within the Trois‑Rivières–Sherbrooke region but can be provincial or international depending on support needs. Valid driver’s license required. Compensation & Overtime Eligible for overtime for hours in excess of 40 each week.
