p>What You'll Be Doing- Work collaboratively with the leadership and operations teams across the organization providing financial reporting, analysis and guidance
- Manage, track and report on all finance and accounting KPIs and problem-solving activities
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement process improvements
- Coordinate, prepare, review and present monthly and annual reports
- Manage all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, AP/AR, financial reporting, project accounting
- Ensure that all financial recording is conducted according to Canadian GAAP
- Oversee all construction draw receipts, submissions, payments and employee payroll
- Conduct periodic audits of G/L entries
- Project and Company Budget and Cash Flow tracking, management and forecasting
- Analyze the company's financial results to ensure sustainable profitability, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.
- Manage relationships with insurance providers and ensuring compliance
- Oversee compliance with all required federal, Provincial, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes
- Manage cash flow and relevant reporting
- Other duties as required
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or accounting with CPA designation (required)
- Accounting experience within the construction industry is an asset
- Proven experience building out accounting controls/processes
- Experience preferably with Sage, Procore, TimberScan, and CRM systems
- Strong technical accounting skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks
- Focused on customers, both internal and external, understanding that we exist to deliver value to them and looks for ways to exceed their expectations
