Job Title Critical Care Medicine Physician Work Site Lions Gate Hospital (LGH), Vancouver Status Permanent Full-Time Start Date March 1, 2026 Compensation Type Clinical Service Contract Job Summary Join Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a dedicated and highly skilled Critical Care Physician at Lions Gate Hospital (LGH), the regional hospital and referral centre for the North Vancouver and Coastal Community of Care. We are seeking a well‑rounded intensivist to join our established Critical Care team, which encompasses an 11‑bed Intensive Care Unit, a 12‑bed High Acuity Unit, and a dedicated Critical Care Outreach Team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled critical care physician who can seamlessly provide coverage in their base specialty when not in the ICU. Applicants must hold certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) in Critical Care Medicine and be eligible for full licensure with the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSBC). This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative, challenging, and growing environment. Successful candidates will have opportunities for academic appointments, and engaging in various leadership projects and quality improvement endeavors. Lions Gate Hospital is a Level 3 trauma centre and a key acute care provider for a population exceeding 270,000 residents across the North Shore and Sea‑to‑Sky Country. LGH is rapidly expanding with a new Medical and Surgical Centre, which will further establish LGH as a regional facility offering advanced services such as neurosurgical care and operating as a regional advanced stroke and cardiac centre.
