Structural Designers

Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for Structural Designers to join the Team at our Burlington Office.About the rolePrepare 3D structural model and 2D structural drawings (steel and concrete) for mining projects.Interface with other disciplines (civil/earthwork, architectural, mechanical, piping, electrical) to ensure structural drawings incorporate other discipline requirements.Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of multi-functional project teams is a mustPerform site visits, inspect existing structures, prepare drawings and sketches of existing structures.Liaise with engineers for direction, specifications and feedbackMaintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members to account for standardsParticipate in model reviews with project team and clientsAbout youDiploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology (structural or architectural)4 - 10 years experience in structural steel and concrete modeling, design and drafting.EPC/EPCM environment experience with mining or heavy industrial design is an assetProficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting is a must.Proficiency in 3D modeling or other 3D modeling software is an asset.Site experience and shop detailing is considered an asset.Well-developed written and oral skillsCommitment and enthusiasm for learningWhy Ausenco?We support individual growth and aim to allow you to work in a way that plays to your strengths.
