Radiological Technologist position at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH). Salary range: CAD $36.69/hr – $45.81/hr. Responsibilities Produce diagnostic radiographs and conduct various diagnostic procedures, either independently or in collaboration with the Radiologist and/or other physician(s). Apply best practice radiation safety principles to protect patients, staff and the general public, and complete required documentation and administrative tasks. Monitor the patient during procedures, including equipment performance and maintain cleanliness of the examination room. Maintain and advance own clinical competence by participating on committees/teams and approved research projects, as assigned. Education & Experience Successful completion of a recognized Medical Radiography program. Successful completion of the CAMRT certification exam in Radiological Technology and/or certification with the Order of Technologists in Medical Imaging, Radio‑Oncology and Medical Electrophysiology of Quebec (OTIMROEPMQ) in Radiodiagnosis. Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Broad knowledge of CAMRT standards of practice and clinical practice guidelines. Broad knowledge of radiological technology theory and practices within a patient/family‑centred model of care. Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment. Demonstrated ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards and evidence‑based practice. Demonstrated knowledge of PACS, Radiology Information Systems and electronic health records. Effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, co‑workers, physicians and external agencies. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team; resolve conflict issues and manage workload priorities. Knowledge of CPR techniques and use of related equipment and software applications. General knowledge of trauma‑informed practice, harm‑reduction approaches, strengths‑based care and Indigenous cultural safety. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
