Job Summary Director of Hospitality and Support Services is responsible for all aspects of the operation including staffing, client relations, customer service, resident satisfaction, budgeting, financial management, and the ongoing success of resident dining, retail, marketing programs and catering services. The role requires occasional evening and weekend work. Responsibilities Lead the opening of a new Senior Living Facility’s Food and Support Services, including state‑of‑the‑art kitchen, resident dining rooms, a high‑end restaurant and lounge. Manage multiple client relations and ensure resident and customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with strict quality assurance, health, safety and environmental programs. Develop menus and standardized recipes to meet nutritional requirements of residents. Monitor and evaluate meal preparation and service to maintain quality and quantity standards. Incorporate resident preferences into delivery. Hire, orient, supervise and evaluate performance of food service, maintenance and housekeeping staff. Maintain budgets and provide operational reports to the Regional Director of Operations/District Manager. Implement a Food Safety Plan incorporating HACCP, WHMIS, WSIB/WCB regulations and company audit procedures. Control inventory and complete financial reporting according to the Compass Group fiscal schedule. Apply proper cleaning and sanitation procedures in large‑scale settings. Qualifications Post‑secondary education with at least 7 years of progressive foodservice management experience in a licensed full‑service environment. Experience overseeing multi‑site housekeeping and maintenance services (asset). Demonstrated excellence in leading a customer‑centric hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of local provincial food premises regulations and health and safety legislation. Excellent leadership skills and ability to engage and secure employee cooperation. Experience in large‑quantity food preparation, financial planning and food purchasing. Creative flair for menu planning, preparation and presentation. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to work and communicate effectively with residents and guests. >Effective team player who collaborates with others. Canadian Society of Nutrition Management membership is an asset. Advanced Food Safety Training (AFST) and Level 1/2 Health and Safety Certification (or willingness to complete within 90 days).
