Position Overview Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Shift Crew Lead will coordinate and control warehouse operator personnel to provide effective, efficient, and economical support. You will ensure all customer issues are handled effectively and in a timely manner, work directly with others to improve team performance, and practice lean warehousing to eliminate waste. You are directly responsible for attaining and sustaining performance metrics for inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and pack‑up kit readiness. What You Will Do Plan, coordinate, and organize the daily activities of the shift crew. Train and orient new staff on material handling equipment, health & safety, and standard plant procedures. Coordinate and control shift crew activities including receipt, physical security, shipping and receiving, kitting, issue, and local delivery of material. Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or using material handling equipment. Complete accurate stock‑taking cycle counts as per schedules. Achieve performance targets (metrics) during the shift. Monitor stock levels to prevent stock outs/overages. Document control and process for repair or calibration of defective items. Maintain company‑owned and customer‑supplied assets in good working order, ensuring inventory data accuracy. Act as a focal point for materiel matters with 8 Wing personnel. Facilitate the resolution of shift crew administrative matters. Ensure appropriate training is provided and procedures are adhered to. Distribute manpower equitably to meet workload demands. Maintain warehouse cleanliness, packaging, location, labeling, segregation, security, and safe conditions; coordinate lean practices. Facilitate personnel development and administration within the shift crew. Serve as liaison and point of contact for clients’ authorized representatives. Recommend disciplinary action when required; participate as a member of management on labour committees; investigate workplace incidents. Perform other duties as assigned. What You Will Bring Grade‑twelve diploma (undergraduate degree preferred) and at least ten years of experience, including 3‑5 years supervisory in aerospace logistics and supply management. Experience in shipping, receiving, picking, security, inventory control, quality control, safety, and general supply chain services. Ability to interface with suppliers and customer management. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues on time. Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills. Familiarity with MS Office products (Excel, Outlook) and computerized warehouse/inventory management systems. Ability to coordinate and support multiple tasks consistently. Ability to organize, schedule, and plan daily activities. Physical strength to lift and move materials up to 22 kg. Ability to read and interpret statistical and performance metric data. Flexibility with work hours, overtime, and rotating shifts. Eligibility for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. ITAR, and Canadian security clearances.
