About the Role As a CBRE Energy Sr. Analyst, you will assist in supporting the implementation of energy initiatives for a large site, region, or account. This job is part of the Energy and Sustainability function, responsible for the development and implementation of environmental and social sustainability programs. Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada What You’ll Do Data Collection & Analysis Collect and validate utility data (electricity, gas, water, fuels), waste/recycling, and GHG-related metrics across client sites. Track and update utility contracts as directed. Understand and utlize the engagement process for procurement. Develop site energy profiles and maintain all support documentation. Lead the analysis of various informational outputs from partner systems, internal program components, and system tools. Identify cost savings opportunities and budgets for utilities. Reporting and Benchmarking Prepare complex monthly variance and energy service status reports. Monitor and report on energy use, bill gap reporting, and spending trends. Compare performance against industry benchmarks and internal targets, providing variance analysis and commentary. Model energy and GHG emissions scenarios for specific projects and programs. Support data requests from clients ensuring data accuracy and integrity for reporting. Program Support Coordinate energy procurement and energy-related projects on behalf of client accounts. Provide advanced energy and sustainability-related input to preventative maintenance and engineering procedures. Help with the development of site energy profiles, site surveys, and energy plans. Gather and organize all support documentation as directed. Support the development and execution of energy management programs and improvement of client KPIs. Draft occupant communications for periodic distribution that suggest ways business units and employees can participate in to contain energy consumption and costs. Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems. Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work closely with client teams and on‑site staff for stakeholder engagement on energy programs. Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations. Analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents. Other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems. Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset. Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard and slightly complex problems. Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments. Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
