Freelance Retoucher

Job Description Reporting to the Retouching Lead, the Freelance Retoucher is responsible for ready-to-wear and still life retouching and the quality control of image assets for e-commerce. As part of our best-in-class Studio visual production team, they will ensure all retouched images are consistent with the SSENSE style guide and production and productivity targets are met. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and knowledgeable about fashion and photography.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Retouching - 90% Retouch e-commerce images for both ready-to-wear and still life product Color correct imagery using the physical product Utilise optimal retouching approaches to achieve SSENSE art direction and deliver top quality content Apply retouching techniques to match individual image complexity Quality Assurance -

10% Stay up-to-date with SSENSE processes and creative direction

Qualifications College diploma in Photography, Graphic Design, or related field/experience 1 year experience in commercial retouching Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop Advanced knowledge of photography and lighting, an asset Experience in the fashion industry and/or e-commerce, an asset Experience working within a Mac environment Solid ability to correctly interpret light, colour, volume, and texture Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French SKILLS Ability to carry out creative processes in a fast paced production environment Team player with great communication and interpersonal skills Creative thinker with problem solving abilities Proven ability to process high volumes of workflow Ability to prioritize, plan and execute
