You’ll be a trusted advisor to the Managing Director and a key member of the leadership team, driving financial performance and enabling data-driven decision-making. This role reports directly to the VP of Finance - Trench Canada and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with business objectives. You will be accountable for the execution of financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, controlling and analysis.Your Tasks:Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with corporate objectives, focusing on revenue growth, profitability, and sustainable cash flow.Provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership, influencing key decisions with robust analysis and forecasting.Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with operational targets and strategic initiatives.Collaborate with department heads to monitor budget adherence and proactively address variances.Continuously refine financial models and planning tools to improve accuracy and responsiveness.Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend actionable insights to improve efficiency and profitability.Approve pricing strategies, capital expenditures (CapEx), operating expenses (OpEx), and financial terms in partnership with the Managing Director.Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and margin enhancement.Drive initiatives to optimize working capital and improve cash conversion cycles.Partner with internal teams to ensure financial data integrity and operational transparency.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.Champion professional development and succession planning within the finance function.Promote cross-functional collaboration to enhance financial literacy across the organization.RequirementsBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.5+ years of hands-on experience leading finance teams in a make-to-order manufacturing environment.Proficient with SAP.Proven track record in continuously improving financial processes.We offerThe opportunity to gain practical experience in optical current measurement technology and sustainable energy transmission in an innovative company.You will work in a motivated team on forward-looking projects and gain insights into the latest technologies.Support from experienced professionals in handling the latest measurement technology.Our CommitmentTrench invites applications from all qualified individuals and is committed to fostering workplace diversity.
