Manager

to join the

Valuations Modelling

team and own the following responsibilities: Growing and developing the practice; developing relationships with BDO's current and prospective clients and referral sources through demonstrations of strong subject-matter expertise and marketing efforts. Lead business valuation engagements for transaction advisory purposes, tax, financial reporting, litigation, and general planning purposes. Oversee and provide coaching to CBV’s and CBV students on file engagements and provide general career coaching; assist in the ongoing training and development of professional staff for this service area. Take part in discussions and meetings with the management of the companies involved and other BDO team members. Analyze company and industry-specific strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to determine the cash flow risks of the companies involved, oversee the modelling used for the valuation, and write detailed valuation reports.

Your experience and education Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation completed, with 3 years of direct valuation experience is required At least one year of managerial experience Chartered Professional Accountant designation preferred, but not required. Advanced financial modelling skills. Excellent communication and report-writing skills. Strong leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and time management skills. Project Management: Excel in managing projects and meeting deadlines. Client Engagement: Build strong relationships and identify value-added opportunities. Business savvy, including general interest in the equity and debt markets, local and global economy, and general finance. Team Leadership: Lead and inspire teams, ensuring accountability and collaboration. Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of valuation methodologies and business assets. Communication: Present technical concepts clearly and professionally. Problem-solving: Tackle complex issues with innovative solutions. Training: Mentor and develop team members' technical skills. Responsiveness: Highly responsive to client and internal communications. Quality Focus: Deliver high-quality, accurate work consistently. Continuous Improvement: Apply new learnings to drive excellence.
