Part-Time Teacher Tutor in French (Must be bilingual in English as well) Join the team at Oxford Learning Centres Inc. as a part‑time French teacher, tutor, or coach. Ignite your passion for helping students succeed – en français Eager to help students turn “Je ne sais pas” into “Oh la la”? Motivated to support children’s French education outside of the classroom? Our class sizes are small, with a maximum of three students per teacher. We provide all of the curriculum and lessons. Teachers do not need to lesson plan; all lessons are pre‑planned. You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods. Position Requirements All Teacher‑Tutors work during after‑school and evening hours (3:30 pm – 8:00 pm) and some Saturdays (10:00 am – 1:00 pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred; continuing through the summer is even better. This role is in‑person; you must be able to commute to the Guelph location. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. Applicants MUST be fluent in both FRENCH and ENGLISH. You will be required to write a French and an English comprehension and grammar test. Education Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered Teaching certification an asset Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum Fluency in both FRENCH and ENGLISH Experience Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level Strong English and French written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students’ understanding Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time Responsibilities Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels Teaching online and in‑person as required Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies Filling in post‑lesson notes Completing daily student communication updates Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times Benefits Fun staff events Ongoing training opportunities Frequent check‑ins and feedback Company growth opportunities Hands‑on development of your teaching skills Job Details Job Type: Part‑time Salary: $18.50 per hour to start Schedule Tuesday/Thursday 3:30 – 8:00 Saturday availability About Oxford Learning Oxford Learning is a Canadian supplemental education provider helping students get better grades since 1984.
