Provides subject matter expertise, advice, and recommendations to clients on conflict management policies, standards, practices, and guidelines.
Provides Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) intervention services to individuals and/or groups presenting issues of limited complexity; and provides follow-on support and guidance to prevent or manage existing or potential conflicts.
Develops and delivers ADR information and awareness sessions, or briefings for general audiences. contributes to the development of communication and promotion tools and training.
Plans and delivers conflict management training; br/>Coaches supervisors, managers, and personnel on conflict management skills, and on the use of related dispute resolution tools and processes.
Participates in committees and work groups/projects with a conflict management component.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Completion of a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in conflict management, human resources management, or another field relevant to the position AND a minimum of one hundred (100) hours of acceptable training in conflict management which must include forty (40) hours of mediation training OR an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience (defined as: A secondary school diploma, and One hundred and eighty (180) hours of training in conflict management, which must include forty (40) hours of mediation training, and A minimum of ten (10) mediations as the lead mediator).

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Experience leading ADR processes as a third-party neutral (including a minimum of five (5) mediations) and experience facilitating training and awareness sessions on informal conflict management using adult learning principles.

ESSENTIAL ABILITIES
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities, Ability to effectively apply ADR skills, Ability to effectively facilitate training using adult learning principles.

ASSET EXPERIENCE
Experience providing conflict coaching and group processes, conducting restorative practices, providing support or interventions to vulnerable populations, working in a mixed military and civilian environment, working on initiatives aimed at using a trauma-informed approach, completing training in equity, diversity, and inclusion.
