Role Description:

  • The SAP S/4 Integration Lead is a key role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the integration solutions within the SAP S/4 HANA environment.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of SAP S/4 HANA modules, integration technologies, and business processes.
  • The Integration Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of SAP S/4 HANA with various internal and external systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing hands-on leadership for all SAP integration activities for the Government of Manitoba and associated in-scope organizations
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of SAP integration technologies
  • Resolve system and process issues and coordinate integration testing across all functional streams
  • Analyze and identify the linkages and interactions between the component parts of the entire system.
  • Partner with Manitoba team leadership and system integrator to ensure collective ownership of quality, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Use the review of work as an opportunity to deepen the expertise of team members.
  • Address conflicts or issues, engaging in difficult conversations with clients, team members, and other stakeholders, escalating where appropriate.
  • Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards, Manitoba's code of conduct, and independence requirements.
  • Demonstrate extensive-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success as both an individual contributor and team member, identifying and addressing client needs
  • Lead the overall delivery of complex Global S/4HANA Integration, including completion of deliverables outlined in signed statement(s) of work
  • Exhibit extensive-level abilities and a proven record of success in SAP Integration with at least 3 end-to-end SAP S/4 HANA implementation projects on-premise and Cloud edition
  • Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, integration roadmaps, integration strategy for SAP systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy
  • Partner with Manitoba business and IT stakeholders to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on leadership to development teams, ensuring best practices in integration design and implementation;
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of integration solutions to ensure scalability and reliability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Confirm extensive-level ability in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration suite for designing and developing integration scenarios
  • Exhibit extensive-level abilities with ABAP interface development protocols such as RFC, BAPI, IDOC, and ABAP Proxy
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Manitoba business objectives and leading development efforts
  • Mentor teams by fostering a positive work environment, monitoring workloads, balancing client expectations, and maintaining work-life quality for team members;
  • Contribute to the development of the SAP Technology Practice, building expertise and thought leadership around SAP Solutions and offerings; and,
  • Stay ahead of SAP and Cloud trends, leveraging innovative solutions to drive Manitoba business transformation.

Skill Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A clean criminal record check status will be required at the proponent's expense prior to the successful Service Provider Resource(s) arriving onsite or working remotely.
  • Maintaining a clean status is required throughout the Proponent's contract.
  • An enhanced background check, completed by Manitoba may be required on certain projects due to the confidentiality of the materials shared with the Proponent.
  • If the proponent fails, they must rectify on their own cost and time

Minimum Qualifications And/Or Experience

  • Over 5 years of proven experience as SAP S/4 Integration Manager or similar role and at least two of those years involved with a large SAP S/4 implementation as an Integration Lead or similar role Experience in a public sector environment
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA modules and integration tools and technologies (SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Integration, APIs, etc.) and associated leading practices.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills and requirement gathering, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work in a stand-alone role but also employ team skills as you will be working on cross-functional projects and activities.
  • Must be technical to understand back-end database and complexity with ERP integration.
  • Experience within ERP systems such as SAP as well as surrounding applications
  • SAP integration management experience in all of the following areas: S4HANA, Ariba, Fieldglass, SuccessFactors
  • Solid understanding of the SAP landscape, modules, and terminology
  • Ability to liaise between SAP & System Integrator consultants and Business SMEs to ensure requirements are met while ensuring the adoption of best practice is maintained
  • Advanced Excellent communication skills (writing, speaking) in English

It is preferred that the Resource has the following qualifications or experience:

  • SAP certifications related to integration or relevant modules.
  • Public service experience in a Canadian public service entity
  • Excellent business systems support and customer service skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, decision-making, research, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
