We are currently seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our Ottawa-based team.What will you be doing?The Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible and accountable for the manufacture and repair of electro-mechanical assemblies.Build electro-mechanical assemblies with high levels of quality.Ensure soldering and electrical wiring are carried out to a high standard.Manufacture cable assemblies and perform electrical installation of wiring looms.Read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, schematics, diagrams, and written or verbal instructions.Maintain documentation such as BOMs, drawings, and electrical schematics.Support engineering activities including design, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems.Verify adherence to specifications through in-process and final inspections.What do we need from you?Experience in a manufacturing environment.Proven experience in electro-mechanical assembly.High proficiency in hand soldering, crimping, and jointing skills.Certification to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 is preferred.Ability to read Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is an asset.Experience with JIRA software is beneficial.Experience with quality systems such as AS9100D or ISO/TS 16949 is considered an asset.Compliance StatementThis position may require exposure to export-controlled information and is subject to security screening.
