Join us today and make a difference Job Description Under the general supervision of the Manager of the Centre for Innovative Medicine (CIM), the incumbent is responsible for administering and adjusting treatments and medications to research cancer patients while ensuring the successful conduct of clinical research studies. The CIM is located in the Glen site hospital, a unique centre in Canada dedicated exclusively to clinical research. General Duties Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy and treatments to research patients Infuse blood products when necessary Evaluate the health status of research patients Determine if research patient can continue their treatments Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure proper care and oversight of the research patient and their families in clinical research trials Provide appropriate resources to patients Ensure proper research documentation Review and document protocol trainings Education / Experience DEC in nursing or Bachelor’s degree in nursing required Good standing member of the OIIQ Minimum 2 years of experience in medical/surgical, ICU or Emergency Room Experience in hematology and/or solid tumors administration of treatments preferred Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Health Canada Division 5 certifications an asset Bilingual: French and English spoken and written Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to work under minimal supervision Self‑directed, flexible, organized with a good sense of work ethics Position Details Type: Temporary Occasional Pay Scale: DEC $24.40 – $45.29, BAC $30.60 – $56.82 Shift: Variable Schedule Site: Glen Site, 1001, Decarie Blvd. Benefits 3 days of paid sick leave per year, including a maximum of 1 personal day RREGOP government pension plan (defined benefit plan) Vacation prorated based on a percentage of your salary 5.3% of your gross earnings added to your pay check in lieu of statutory holidays Equal Opportunity Employment The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre hires on the basis of merit and is strongly committed to equity, diversity and inclusion within its community.
