About our Team
As a Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) Lead Engineer, you will help optimize our cloud financial operations by working closely with Engineering Leadership, Finance, and individual Engineering teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance.

This multifaceted position requires a good blend of technical understanding, financial acumen, and strategic thinking. p>
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with engineering teams to analyse cloud usage patterns, identify cost drivers, and implement strategies to optimize expenses.
- Developing and enforce financial governance policies and procedures to maintain budget adherence and cost control.
- Mentoring and coach engineering teams to help foster a culture of cost awareness and accountability.
- Assisting in the development of accurate and comprehensive financial forecasts and budgets for engineering projects.
- Have experience with on cloud demand forecasting, cost optimization, capacity planning, cloud utilization, spend modelling and cost savings strategy development.
- Able to show a proficient working understanding of AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud computing platform and its pricing dynamics.
- Have a good understanding of application development environments, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
- Have working experience with AWS tagging benefits and limitations.
- Show experience with Python or similar automation/scripting languages knowledge.
