About The Opportunity

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Bilingual Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator to join a dynamic and collaborative team on a permanent basis. In addition to a competitive salary, the client is also offering a comprehensive benefits package, flexible working hours, and free, onsite parking.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Act as a first point of contact for all Health and Safety inquiries
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors in responding to safety concerns, hazards or infractions and implement corrective action if required
  • Assist the Manager in implementing compliance updates
  • Develop, manage, and administer the Health and Safety Program in collaboration with Health and Safety Committees as required
  • Work closely with supervisors and joint health and safety committees to ensure prompt investigation of all accident/incident reports, and that recommendations for corrective actions are appropriately and consistently put into effect
  • Assist with the accident and injury reporting system and management system for workers compensation as required by law
  • Maintain claims management records and reports
  • Identify health and safety training requirements, making recommendations to the Manager

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Fluent bilingualism in English and French a must
  • Ideally 2+ years of related experience in a relevant Occupational Health and Safety position
  • Successful completion of a diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from an accredited institution a strong asset, but an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Reliability security clearance
  • Must possess a valid drivers license
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety Management Systems and demonstrated understanding of Health & Safety legislation

About the Job

The client is offering a starting salary of $70,000 to $85,000 dependent on experience. The role will require the successful candidate to work in office five days a week and offers free, onsite parking and flexible working hours.
