OverviewPosition: Journeyman PipefitterPrimary Location: Brandon, MBShift: 5 day work week, Monday to Friday, Day shift. Occasional overtime on evenings and weekends may be required.Reports To: Maintenance SupervisorCompensation: $59.25 per hour + benefits. The CAD hourly rate for this position is $59.25 + benefits. Hourly rates are determined by role, level, and location. The hourly rate displayed reflects the starting rate for new hires for the position. Rates may also be determined by work location and factors including job related skills, experience, and education or training. Some facilities are subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements. The compensation details listed in US postings reflect the hourly rate only and do not include benefits, pension contributions or overtime/shift premiums.About This Position and About You: Provide installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment including pipes, pumps and compressors, power tools, fans and blowers, hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems. The position requires flexibility to meet multiple job demands and to provide exceptional maintenance service to ensure continuous operation within the facility.ResponsibilitiesConduct predictive and preventive maintenance based on the SAP CMMS program, and identify opportunities to improve the PM program.Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.General plant maintenance.Operate mobile equipment: man lift, forklift and company vehicle.Work scheduled 8-hour days and occasionally 10–16-hour days for emergency repairs including weekends and holidays.Follow all plant safety guidelines.Assist in the management of spare parts inventory.Assist in the planning and coordination of annual turnarounds.QualificationsMust possess Inter-provincial Journeyman Pipefitter (Red Seal).Basic PC skills (Excel and Word).Hold current TDG, WHMIS and First Aid certificates (or be willing to obtain and maintain).CompetenciesAbility to work in a team-based, self-managed environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.Excellent organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.Comfortable working in all weather conditions with appropriate PPE.Work ConditionsIndustrial plant environment, outdoors frequently; physical activity includes walking, bending, crouching, squatting, climbing ladders, etc.Ability to complete assigned safety training and follow Chemtrade’s safe work policies and practices.What Chemtrade Offers YouWe are committed to cultivating a work environment that embraces and values the unique qualities of every employee.
