What You’ll Be Doing CIBC is modernizing its wire payments platform to replace the legacy system with a new, Tier 1‑critical application that processes multi‑billion, high‑value payment transactions. As a Production Support Consultant you will provide application production support in CIBC’s Global Wires and Payments Technology department, managing currency, capacity and refresh of the application and its associated software versions to maintain compliance with industry standards. How You’ll Succeed Application Analysis & Support: Identify and resolve production issues for a Tier 1‑critical application in a timely manner. Monitor and analyze supported services to uncover opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions. Design & Development: Perform and coordinate application programming activities related to BAU changes. Design the application’s technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches. Strategic planning: Participate in multi‑year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business goals. Who You Are You should have 7+ years of overall IT experience and 5+ years of 24/7 production support experience. Strong technical knowledge of RedHat Linux, IBM MQ / Kafka, SQL / Oracle DB, and web technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Node JS. Experience with microservices architecture and containerization platforms (RedHat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker) and scheduling tools like Autosys. Production support expertise for Tier 1 or Tier 1‑critical applications, preferably in banking. Proficient in incident, problem, and change management processes. Knowledge of SWIFT related products (SAG, AWP, AMH, etc.) and Citrix platform is an added advantage. Willingness to work on infrastructure upgrade activities and support verification for infrastructure implementations. Understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery model, and capability to deliver Currency / Capacity / Refresh (CCR). Strong grasp of regulatory audit processes and payment space (SWIFT).
