OverviewWork Arrangement : Hybrid — This role is categorized as hybrid. Join us as we lead the way towards a sustainable and safe automotive future.ResponsibilitiesLeads and generates technical solutions including specifying of requirements functional decomposition analysis development and testing for current new and major programsLead development of software system team design content and software anomaly corrections.Performs complex design analysisSpecifies and balances system requirementsProvide communicate and support common best practices among software communityPerforms as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least one platform or application componentContribute as a designer and developer to design code and release software for an Android / multi-process RTOS OS such as QNX or Yocto-Based LinuxParticipate in the implementation of the Vehicle Audio Control Service Participate in improving and maintaining existing Infotainment SoftwareParticipate in feature requirements analysis and test-case design review Participate in feature prototyping testing and refinementParticipate in improving and tailoring existing drivers stack and applications to our needsProvide clear and complete documentation based on the definition of the software development process Collaborate with other engineers by using Scrum / Agile development process.Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)5 years of hands-on experience developing applications or middleware for embedded / mobile platforms or in similar field Object-oriented software development experience with a solid grasp of algorithms and data structuresExperience with large code bases developing entirely new code and maintaining existing codeKnowledge of test development and testing of embedded system firmwareSoftware platform development experience such as Linux and Android platformCommercial software development experience in C C++ JavaExperience with SCM tools GIT JIRA Jenkins etc.Experience of Scrum / Agile software development processAbility to perform complex diagnostic and investigation based on limited informationCreative discipline strong sense of responsibility delivery and schedule commitmentVery good oral and written communication skillsHigh level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a geographically dispersed teamExperience / Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications)2 years of hands-on development experience with Android / AOSP components frameworks and architecture (such as Apps Application Framework Multimedia etc.)Working experience with Mobile Platforms / Services and Apps CarPlay and Android AutoWorking experience in firmware developmentWorking experience with Audio Frameworks such as aaudio alsa android audio stackFamiliar with Android development toolkit test frameworks and processWorking experience with DSP Development Environments (Hexagon AudioWeaver etc).Experience with HAL DevelopmentExperience in developing automotive infotainment solutionsExperience in automotive and / or portable consumer electronic devicesGM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.
