Legal Expert (Independent Contractor) A leading AI research initiative is recruiting experienced Legal Experts to contribute to a flagship project advancing the legal reasoning capabilities of large language models (LLMs). This role involves crafting domain‑specific legal questions, evaluating AI‑generated responses, and benchmarking performance against real‑world standards. Your expertise will directly inform the design of AI systems capable of handling complex legal workflows with rigor, clarity, and precision. Key Responsibilities Develop and review high‑quality legal questions and evaluation sets. Assess AI‑generated legal outputs for accuracy, clarity, and reasoning quality. Solve domain‑specific legal problems to benchmark model capabilities. Synthesize complex legal information from diverse sources. Provide structured feedback to improve AI’s alignment with legal standards. Ideal Qualifications Advanced legal education or specialized credentials (LL.M., J.D., S.J.D., or Ph.D. in Law) from a top university, preferably in the U.S. Strong online research and analytical skills. Ability to synthesize nuanced legal material into clear, structured outputs. Excellent written communication and high attention to detail.
