You will work on complex projects providing water resources solutions for a wide range of clients. We offer competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs to support you and your family.To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesDirecting multi-disciplinary project teams;Providing senior technical input for delivery of water resources projects to our public, mining, industrial, private and First Nations clients;Performing and overseeing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies, assessments, modelling, preliminary and detail design, cost estimates, specifications and input to contract documents;Developing innovative green infrastructure solutions for the urban environment;Developing site-wide and tailings storage facility, life of asset water balance models for mining clients;Applying innovative hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, from 1-D to 3-D flow and transport models;Leading floodplain and flood hazard mapping studies;Developing flood protection designs;In-stream and urban stormwater water quality monitoring and modeling;Developing and executing field investigation programs and construction support services;Preparing erosion and sediment control designs;Interacting with client representatives;Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments;Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring; andHelp broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.Education and LicensureBachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, or a closely related discipline. (required)Advanced degree in environmental or civil engineering, or a closely related discipline. (preferred)Professional engineering registration (i.e. P.Eng.) within provincial guidelines. (required)Skills, Experience And QualificationsAt least 8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)Experience with modeling and design software tools such as EPA-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS. (preferred)Valid Canadian driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
