Purpose of the PositionLead a skilled team working on track construction projects, driving safety, service, and productivity. Railway experience preferred; 5+ years in thermite or flash butt welding also ideal. Understanding of collective bargaining agreements is essential for managing workflows effectively. Candidates with construction or manufacturing management experience are encouraged to apply.Position AccountabilitiesMentor an average of 45 direct reports to improve their efficiency and hold accountability when needed.Review planned capital work, confirm material, and execution requirements.Ensure CPKC regulatory compliance for respective track projects.Develop and implement work processes and changes with your team that achieve continuous improvement.Promote and ensure adherence to CPKC policies, safety practices, and procedures across all team members and direct reports, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.Evaluate planned capital work, validate material readiness, and confirm execution strategies to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.Position RequirementsHigh school diploma or general equivalency.Valid driver’s license.Minimum 2 years of track experience.100% travel (expenses covered by CPKC).
