About the role The Senior Advisor – People & Culture provides high‑level human resources advice to site P&C leadership and departmental managers. The role coordinates routine HR services and ad‑hoc requirements and leads the implementation of site and Group P&C initiatives. The position follows a 5 days on / 2 days off / 4 days on / 3 days off roster and is based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario (NO FIFO/NO CAMP). Key result areas in this role include: Provide high-level support to the Superintendent P&C and the Manager P&C and assist in developing and implementing departmental strategic business objectives. Develop, review, and communicate Group and site HR policies and procedures. Coordinate site recruitment and selection processes with Group Recruitment and advise Hiring Leads. Provide expert advice in performance management, disciplinary procedures, grievance investigation, and application of P&C policies. Assist in managing the site annual performance review and talent management process. Conduct induction/orientation for new employees to ensure they understand new work areas and general administration processes. Participate in various P&C projects and initiatives, leading specific projects where required. Coordinate and support site‑wide training and career development initiatives including leadership development, graduate, vacation student, and apprentice/trainee programs. Provide P&C leadership with accurate information for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, and participate in budget planning and review. Communicate and/or promptly raise issues or concerns impacting the P&C function or the site. Maintain effective relations with payroll to coordinate and manage the site payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate instructions for monthly pay changes, routine reporting, and audit compliance. Assist Health & Safety with injury management and workers compensation claims when required. Prepare for and attend weekly P&C team meetings to communicate progress on projects and initiatives. Provide advice on relocations and employee housing matters, coordinating housing allocations and movements as needed. Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, security, and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines. Consistently demonstrate leadership through behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining’s core values and leadership principles. About you As a Senior Advisor – People & Culture, you will ideally have at minimum a College Diploma related to Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or other related fields. A CHRP/CHRL designation is desirable but not required. Hold a valid Driver’s License and have access to a reliable vehicle. Have previous Human Resources experience in the mining industry (desirable). Have experience using HRIS (Success Factors) – an asset. Understand Employment Standards Act, Human Rights legislation, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other relevant legislations. Possess excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail. Be adaptive and responsive to change, capable of handling a fast‑paced work environment.
