the Brooks Junior High School is hiring

We are seeking applicants, for a probationary contract position to teach Division III Physical Education.

BJHS is a junior high school of about 560 students in grades 7-9. Students receive a full range of academic offerings in addition to a well-developed option program that includes Band, Art, Construction, Drama, Outdoor Pursuits, Foods, and Digital Technologies. BJHS also offers a large variety of extra-curricular and athletic programs. The school hosts the District Life Skills program and supports a large English as an Additional Language (EAL) Learner program.

Job Duties:

identify students’ individual and collective learning needs; plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs; provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop to their potential; help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills; meet with parents; evaluate and communicate student progress; prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help; meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress; volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities; and attend meetings, seminars and in-service training sessions.
