About The Role We’re looking for a hands‑on security engineer to build Rippling’s Product Security program. As an early member of the security team, you will shape the program’s priorities, provide threat‑modeling, and create tooling to scale security practices. About The Team A diverse group of security engineers passionate about pushing boundaries. We collaborate with Engineering partners to secure our ecosystem and re‑imagine traditional security approaches. What You’ll Do Create guardrails and controls to eliminate full classes of vulnerabilities in the Rippling application. Build security tooling and automations to scale the Product Security team’s practices. Threat‑model application designs and conduct security assessments. Provide hands‑on remediation guidance to development teams. Integrate security into the Software Development Life Cycle. Qualifications 3‑5 years in a product security role. Experience with web application vulnerabilities and OWASP Top 10. Senior‑level software development experience with Python, React, and Django Rest Framework. Experience with manual source code review. Ability to assess products and new feature releases through threat modeling and security reviews. Leadership and cross‑functional initiative skills to drive security adoption. Bonus Points Understanding of SSO, OAuth, and SAML. Strong communication skills and remote teamwork experience.
