Medical Assistant - Dayton Children's Pediatrics Job Details: This position performs both clinical and clerical functions of the clinic. The Medical Assistant performs routine clinical skills for patient care, including taking vital signs, weight, height, and assisting with procedures as needed. Responsibilities include documenting in EPIC, ensuring all required documentation is completed in time for the provider to dictate a note and close an encounter expediently. Additional duties: patient flow management, chaperoning, stocking rooms, ordering tests and supplies, and performing appropriate service delegated by RN, NP, or physician. Interacts with other department personnel to maintain timely patient flow and provide high-quality customer service. Facility: Child Health Pavilion Department: Dayton Children's Pediatrics Schedule: Full-time Hours: 36‑hour week (M‑F 7:30‑5:00, 4 days a week with Monday evening rotating commitment) Education and Credentials High School Diploma or GED required Completion of a Medical Assistant program required Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) required CPR certification preferred, but must be obtained within 2 weeks of start date #J-18808-Ljbffr
