Pay Rate: $25.28 - $28.64/hour, depending on the site locationSchedule: 12-hour shifts, overnight / graveyards (1900-0700hrs or 2030-0830hrs) Successful candidates are required to travel to Vancouver for 1-week of mandatory training; travel and accommodation will be covered. Responsibilities Conduct regular foot patrols Monitor CCTV cameras Provide first aid Manage lost and found Write detailed incident reports Respond to alarms De-escalate potentially violent situations Interact with clients and the general public Requirements Minimum 1-year of work experience in the security industry Experience in Trauma Informed Care and Indigenous Cultural Safety would be an asset Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills Strong English communication skills (written and verbal); confidence interacting verbally with team members, client personnel, members of the public, and emergency services A valid BC Security License A passion for being active, since your patrols may be indoors or outdoors, in all weather conditions, and can include stairwells, and uneven surfaces Physical ability to stand and/or patrol for the majority of a shift Confidence approaching and leading in emergency situations, including trauma, aggression, intoxication, bodily fluids, etc. A keen eye for watching and reporting irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations Basic skills in utilizing technology, including writing reports on a computer, tracking patrols in a smartphone, and communicating via two-way radios Must be legally authorized to work in Canada Additional Information / Benefits Paladin Security has a diverse workforce.
